How to reach us
By plane
The Catania "Fontanarossa" Airport is 60 km away from Taormina. To reach the hotel, you can book and pay for our transfer service in advance. You can also take the intercity bus, which will take you to Taormina in less than an hour. From there you can take the cable-car to Mazzarò. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the cable-car station.
By train
The Taormina/Giardini Naxos station is just 2 km from the hotel, which you can reach by private taxi.
By car
From the A18 Messina-Catania motorway, exit at Taormina and follow the direction for Taormina mare/Mazzarò (SS 114). The Villa Caterina Hotel is just 1.4 km from the motorway toll booth. If you come in your own car, you will have access to the hotel's private parking area.
Location
The Villa Caterina Hotel stands in the splendid inlet of the Bay of Mazzarò, just 2 minutes from the deep blue and crystal-clear sea, which can be reached on foot along a picturesque narrow street. 100 metres away from the hotel, you can find the cable-car linking Mazzarò to the old town center of Taormina. The Pearl of the Ionian Sea, Taormina is home to splendid Arab-Norman buildings and a spectacular Greek Theatre.
Villa Caterina is a perfect starting point for visiting the splendid surroundings of Taormina, not only on classic excursions to Etna, Syracuse and Agrigento, but also on itineraries off the beaten track to discover picturesque inland villages such as Forza d'Agrò and Savoca, which are nestled in the rocks.
The trip to the Alcantara River Park is not to be missed. Here you can admire the charming Gorges shaped into the rock by geological phenomena, the origin of which is lost in the mists of time.
